How do I get my rates into Fretie?
Upload the files carriers send you: PDF, Excel, CSV, or images. Document AI extracts the lanes, rates, validity, and surcharges into the ledger for you to review and confirm. You can also enter or adjust rates by hand.
What happens when a rate expires?
Rates carry validity windows, and expired rates drop out of quote matching automatically. The agent never prices from a dead contract.
Can Fretie handle surcharges like BAF and THC?
Yes. Each rate carries its surcharge stack, including BAF, THC, documentation fees, and custom charges, as flat, per-container, per-kg, per-cbm, or percentage amounts, applied automatically at quote time.
How do forwarders manage spot rates versus contract rates?
Both live in the same ledger with their own validity windows. A long-validity contract rate on Shanghai to Rotterdam can sit alongside a two-week spot rate on the same lane, and the agent matches whichever is valid for the request's dates. Nothing gets quoted from an expired sheet.
Which transport modes are supported?
Ocean (FCL and LCL), air, road, and rail, all in one ledger with the same structure and the same matching logic.
Is the rate ledger shared with anyone outside my organization?
No. Your rates are your organization's data, scoped to your account, and never shared with other Fretie customers or used beyond providing the service.
